We are excited to offer the Maryland State Department of Education Voluntary State Curriculum. "The Creative Curriculum" and "Houghton Mifflin Pre-k." This "hands-on, minds-on" approach is based on the belief system that children learn by doing. This system encourages children to learn through play and by exploring. Daily group activities are designed to help children build skills in reading readiness, math readiness, science, social development, emotional development, physical development, and cognitive skills. Theme related field trips are also apart of our curriculum along with introduction to sign language, and Spanish. This developmentally appropriate curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of young children.
Infants & Toddlers are encouraged by the five areas of sensory, language, communication, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical, development. Fun activities include one on one interactive play, play with toys, games, story time, and music.
Preschoolers are encouraged by language, communication, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Theme related activities, interactive play, dramatic play, creative arts, music and movement, letter recognition, story time, hands on experience with math, science, arts, and sensory development are also a part of your preschoolers fun filled day.
Pre Kindergarten ages are encouraged by language, literacy, social, emotional, personal, and physical development. Theme related activities, health, interactive play, dramatic play, creative arts, music and movement, story time, phonemic awareness, vocabulary building, reading readiness, hands on experience with math, science, and educational computer games will prepare children entering school "Ready to Learn".
Before & After Care ages are encouraged by routine activities with homework and study, positive group activities through socialization with friends, science, math, and reading activities, enjoy music, educational computer games, and outside play.
